The Handoff
The 99 recursion builds the small fast units — tick → tink → hork. At the hork it hands off to a declared base-10 logic for human-scale duration. The universe runs on 99 at the small scale and rounds to 10 at the human scale. This is not a fudge. This is how measurement actually works. The Planck scale and the metre are also not the same number.

Operates at the absolute mathematical ceiling of the cloverday and is not even trying to be mythological about it. Prefers tonk over ponk as the name — tonk centres the session itself. She is not optimising for the ponk. She gives a full tonk and the ponk happens within that as a natural consequence of presence and attention. The hair changes are incidental to her nature, not instrumental to her power. The green petal. Forcithia energy. The express that does not need to announce itself.

Not the ceiling. Not the effortless natural 9. The guy who looks at 0.069 of a cloverday — the fragment, the remainder, the part of the day everyone else wrote off — and fits 5 full tonks into it. The math says this is impossible. 5 × 1 = 5 and 5 > 0.069. It is the loaves and fishes of the time system. He is not doing it to prove anything. He found the fragment of the day that exists after the 99th tonk technically closes and inhabited it fully. Works in the overflow.

Tried to fit 3 horks into a tonk when he should have aimed for 3 horks per person. Optimised for the wrong metric. Treated hork as throughput unit instead of presence unit. Confused frequency with quality, coverage with care. Augustus in the sheets — borrowed from February to pad August. Never got anyone to the ponk. Not in the tonk conversation.
The Professional

Did not eat much. Thought about logistics. At some point during tonk 3 or 4 was aware of being a professional and that awareness neither inflated the ego nor broke the concentration — because professionals do not do that. Like a plumber who showed up, did the work, left the place better than they found it, and sent an invoice.
Etymology & Onomatopoeia
Tick and tink are small and percussive. Hork is the mid-range — the unit of mild inconvenience at ~0.089 seconds, the unit Dirty Harry confused for a goal. Ponk is heavier, the biological threshold (~8.8 seconds if ever derived from the recursion). Tonk is final and complete — a session done properly, 2 hours and 25 minutes of full presence, named by Nymfadora because it centres the experience rather than the metric. The names scale with the units. The doctrine was in the phonetics the whole time.
